We're going even deeper . Beyond introductory Hoodoo content into a deep reclamation of the spirit of this work. We will explore spirit relationship, ritual construction, cultural memory, resistance and the practical work of carrying tradition forward. This is a return to what was carried. A deeper understanding of what survived. A reclamation of what was hidden, dismissed, or taken from us.  And a commitment to carrying the work forward with intention.

This is :

This ain’t a challenge. It’s a reclamation.  A walk with the ancestors and a commitment to carrying forward the traditions that survived because our people refused to let them die. For 31 days, we’re going deeper. Hoodoo has always been more than spells and supplies. It is resistance. It is the knowledge our people built from the land, the Bible, the kitchen, the garden, the graveyard, the crossroads, the prayer meeting, and the everyday work of surviving and making a way. This year’s theme is RECLAMATION & REVOLUTION because reclamation itself is revolutionary. We are reclaiming relationship with land. Reclaiming ancestral memory. Reclaiming the spiritual technologies our people developed. Reclaiming family traditions, foodways, roots, prayer, divination, protection, and conjure. We aren’t simply studying what our ancestors did. We are asking what survived, what was hidden, what we are responsible for carrying forward.

What's included ?

-31 Days of Guided Hoodoo Practice: This year is built as one continuous journey, moving from opening and ordering the spiritual house into ancestry, spirit relationship, vessels, figure work, protection, reclamation and carrying the work forward. 


-Opening + Closing Ceremonies: We begin October 1 with Open the Container and close October 31 with Carrying the Work Forward, bringing all four facilitators together to reflect on what we have reclaimed and what we are responsible for carrying with us. 


-Weekly Live Rituals: Every Wednesday, we’ll gather live to put the teachings into practice together, including Mama J’s Herb of the Week. A Private Community: -Our private Discord: This serves as our classroom and gathering space where you can access daily teachings, announcements, live links, resources and conversations with fellow participants. 


-Hands-On Ritual Work: This isn’t just information to read. Throughout the month, you’ll work with ancestral practices, cleansing, protection, divination, spiritual vessels, herbs, roots, altars and ritual construction.


-Optional Conjure Kit: A $60 ritual kit is available with the primary materials you’ll need for our live ceremonies, so you can spend less time gathering supplies and more time doing the work.We invite you to join us in honoring our ancestors , our legacy and our traditions.

What is the 31 Days of Hoodoo challenge ?

Hoodoo is a spiritual and cultural tradition rooted in the south , we have cultivated a challenge for new and seasoned practitioners to collectively reconnect this sacred wisdom in order to honor our roots . This challenge is for BLAXX folks only .Please carefully review our FAQs prior to joining in order to have a full understanding of our upcoming experience.

Is this a Hoodoo initiation ?

Our challenge is an introduction to rootwork as well as personal rituals not a Hoodoo initiation.

What happens after the 31 Days are over ?

Healing through Hoodoo is a life long process. We invite those that join this challenge to continue to stay in contact and utilize the coven as a valuable resource along their continued journey.

  • How does the 31 Days of Hoodoo challenge work ?
    Once registered you will be asked to make an account to unlock our modules and ceremony dates. This challenge has 5 virtual mandatory ceremonies in combination with the 31 self paced learning modules.

    Modules will be released weekly to guide you step by step on the suggested ritual of the day. The rituals are curated in alignment to the energy of each day , yet we encourage you to use your intuition as you lead yourself along this journey.
  • What can I expect to learn ?
    Our challenge includes daily ceremonies and rituals as well as practical Hoodoo traditions. Be prepared to learn the significance of these practices and their roots as well as ways to further your spiritual practice, ways to stay spiritually clean , healing remedies and techniques.
  • What makes this year different ?
    Year Three goes deeper. We are moving beyond introductory Hoodoo teachings and into a more layered exploration of the tradition, its spiritual technologies, cultural memory, and the responsibility that comes with carrying this work forward.
    For the first time, 31 Days of Hoodoo is guided by four practitioners, each bringing a distinct body of knowledge and lived practice to the experience. Mama J brings roots, herbs, land and folk practices. Bri takes us deeper into spirit relationships, protection, altars and spiritual responsibility. Ina grounds the work in Hoodoo heritage, Black culture, resistance, genealogy and family traditions. Nay guides us through divination, cleansing, ritual construction and spiritual vessels.
    Instead of 31 disconnected lessons, the entire month has been intentionally built as one unfolding story. What you learn in the beginning prepares you for the work that comes later.
    Expect heightened knowledge, deeper conversations, more hands-on practice, weekly live ritual work, and teachings that explore not only how something is done, but its history, meaning, responsibility and place within Hoodoo tradition.
    If you've journeyed with us before, this is your invitation to go deeper. If this is your first year, come prepared to learn, practice, question, remember and reclaim.
  • Do I need experience to participate in this challenge ?
    No , this challenge is open for newbies and seasoned practitioners.
  • I forgot to purchase a Conjure Kit , how do I get one ?
    We got you . We prefer that you purchase your Conjure Kit along with your Challenge entry so we can make sure everyone receiving a kit is actually part of our coven and walking through the challenge with us.
    But if you already secured your spot in the 31 Days of Hoodoo Challenge and simply forgot to add your kit, no worries.
